"Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures."
- Lovelle Drachman
Curiosity can lead to many things. It may lead to inner discoveries. It can also lead to troubling situations or predicaments. No matter the case, remnants of the past - structures - can be physically erased, but still embed a lingering presence where they once were. The opposite is also true - buildings may remain in a particular space for ages; their histories, however, are abolished.
My work strives to awaken new life in these now vacant edifices. Exploring the ruins of once-active schools, hospitals and the like, I have felt their memories - the stories that want to be told. They desire to be witnessed.
